Juliet balcony

Glass railings for Juliet balconies are protective systems designed for full-height openings where there's no classic balcony slab or terrace. The railing is fitted on the outside of the door or window, allowing large glass surfaces to be used safely while maximising natural light and providing an unobstructed view.

The construction usually consists of laminated safety glass fixed with aluminium profiles or special brackets, either directly to the joinery or to the building's load-bearing structure, depending on the system type and project requirements. Thanks to the transparency of the glass, Juliet balconies don't visually weigh down the façade and allow full use of the glazed surface.

These systems are often used on residential and commercial buildings of contemporary architecture, particularly with large window openings and balcony doors where fall protection is needed without building a classic balcony slab.
